I was recently asked
"How do I create a style in Photoshop?" To answer that question, I've put together this tutorial. Layer styles are a wonderful
way of saving work done to one object to apply those same changes to future elements.
For example, at work we're building a flash game that has a deck of cards. Each card has a graphical element on it. To
make all these graphical elements appear to be part of the same deck, we used layer styles to apply a similar look and feel
to each element.
The styles created can be elegant or ugly. My sample style is intentionally garish to highlight a variety of the options
available: gradients, drop shadows, inner and outer glows and texturing.
