Sean Francis SammisVital Statistics
This is Sean, just after birth and before a much-needed bath. Sean was born by emergency C-section. Ian took these first pictures while I was still in recovery and knocked out by the general anestesia. I have no memories of the first four hours of Sean's life. He was born at 7:33 PM and I didn't meet him until 11:00 PM (give or take). The first glimpse I had of him was of this photograph still on the digital camera while I was in recovery. Ian writes: "Here's the exhausted baby later with the equally exhausted mother. "
Here Ian holds Sean. It's a great shot taken by my mother. Sean still looks like this in profile.
Another shot of Sean in Ian's arms.
Ian took this after Sean had been washed and before I had woken up from the C-section.
Here I am holding Sean the morning after the C-section. Look at how glazed my expression is; I was completely drugged out on pain killers.
Here is a picture of Sean sleeping. He had managed to wiggle out of his swaddling. He hated being swaddled.
Another view of Sean sleeping. |
