Mount Diablo Photographs

On my day off I decided to drive up to Mount Diablo because I've never been and have wanted to go since moving to the east bay. Here is the view of the back side of the Oakland Hills from halfway up Mt. Diablo.

Taken November 20, 2007

I took my first batch of photographs just beyond the south gate (accesible from the road by the Athenian school)

The rocks have been carved with graffiti.

Some trees.

More of the first stop.

Another view of the rocks

I could just see the summit from Curry Point.

My car.

Parking costs $6 for a day use pass.

Taken about 3/4 of the way to the top.

Burrs.

Rocks and dry grass.

A view of the Summit building on the summit.

Bonus! A snarf.

A quarry?

Microwave tower?

The Summit Tower

Inside the Tower. Downstairs there is a display of old surveying equipment but I wasn't able to get a photo.
