The Featured Wish for September 24, 2010:
The Castro Valley high school library has a wishlist of books. NavaJos Wear Nikes is on the list. It sounds like a fascinating book so I've added it to my list too. Comment #1: Saturday, September, 24, 2011 at 14:38:00 Great list of books! I really hope to get my hands on The Replacement soon, hope you enjoy it. [: Comment #2: Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 17:38:43 Pussreboots The Replacement is sitting right next to me waiting for me to finish my assigned reading for the weekened. Comment #3: Saturday, September, 24, 2011 at 14:50:35 This does sound like a great book and a good addition to the HS library! Comment #4: Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 17:40:45 Pussreboots I think so. I might get two copies: one for me and one for the high school but I need to read up on how to make donations to them. Comment #5: Saturday, September, 24, 2011 at 15:18:14 Book Reviews From The Basement Hi! Seems to be a interesting book:) And thanks for commenting on my list. Do you remember the title of the japanese ghost stories collection you read? Comment #6: Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 17:42:51 Pussreboots The book of Japanese / Hawaiian ghost stories is called Obake: Ghost Stories in Hawaii by Glen Grant. Comment #7: Saturday, September, 24, 2011 at 16:07:31 I loved The Replacement! I have Paranormalcy in my TBR tower. Comment #8: Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 17:46:00 Pussreboots Paranormalcy was excellent. I will be starting The Replacement this week. I just have a paper to write and then I can get started on it. Comment #9: Saturday, September, 24, 2011 at 19:51:16 This sounds like a very heavy, very thought provoking (especially for the age group) book. Here are my wishes for the week. PS. Thank you for the advice last week on looking at children's books at the library. I had no idea there were so many different awards! Comment #10: Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 17:48:59 Pussreboots I first started reading about the Navajo my freshman year of college. That's only one year removed from high school. I think it would be a good addition to their library. Comment #11: Sunday, September, 25, 2011 at 08:59:50 This sounds like a beautiful book to have on your wishlist. Interesting to get another culture's point of view. Thanks for commenting on Jera's Jamboree Comment #12: Monday, September 26, 2011 at 13:13:13 Pussreboots When I find a copy and get it read, I'll post a review. © 1997-2012 Sarah Sammis
