I finished two review copies: Hunger by Jackie Morse Kessler and the first issue of Doctor Who: The Ripper by Tony Lee. The silliest book I read was F U, Penguin by Matthew Gasteier which takes a harsh but funny look at all the cute animals clogging the internet. This week I plan to finish 100 Cupboards by N. D. Wilson and Rampant by Diana Peterfreund. Both are very good so far. If I'm really organized I'll also finish The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I can't wait to get these books reviewed. It was one of the best weeks of reading I've had in a long time. Gave Up On:Finished Last Week:

Comment #1: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 01:04:40 Wow you did have an excellent week. I like your line-up for this week. The Postmistress and The Book Thief are both very good. Happy reading and enjoy your week. Comment #2: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 22:56:10 Pussreboots I've sort of set The Postmistress asside while I work on a pair of library books due this week. Comment #3: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 01:41:24 I hope you like The Book Thief. It is one of my all time favourites. Comment #4: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 22:57:14 Pussreboots The Book Thief is memorable but I'm not sure it will make my list of all time favorites. Comment #5: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 04:34:38 Hope you enjoy The Postmistress (with it's misleading title) :) Have a good week Comment #6: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:00:43 Pussreboots I'm not digging the misleading title. Comment #7: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 06:54:51 I loved The Book Thief and The Throne of Fire. I hope your son finishes it soon so you can read it :) I've been wanting to read The Postmistress too. It sounds really good. Comment #8: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:01:05 Pussreboots I have plenty of other things to read while he finishes The Throne of Fire. Comment #9: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 08:10:11 Wow I used to follow the FU Penguin Blog LOL. I stopped reading xxxHolic I thought it got to weird and not in the good way. Great list, I'm going to be a new follower. Comment #10: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:03:21 Pussreboots Welcome to my blog! I haven't been to the FU Penguin blog. I love the weirdness of xxxHolic. It's a big part of why my son and I are devouring it. Comment #11: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 08:28:52 Bonnie @ HandsAndHome Wow, I think you are going to have a great week. The Postmistress was a nice read, and I have The Goddess Test and The Book Thief on my TBR list. Enjoy!!! Comment #12: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:06:22 Pussreboots I've set The Postmistress aside because two books are due at the library. I need to get them done ASAP. Comment #13: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 09:25:53 On your list, I've only read The Shipping News and The Postmistress. Both were memorable. Hope you enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog. Comment #14: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:10:32 Pussreboots I sorry to see The Shipping News end. Comment #15: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 09:33:50 You did have a great week. I have been meaning to read those books by Springer. They are already somewhere in TBR mountain. I just haven't had the time. Happy reading! Comment #16: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:11:33 Pussreboots They are a lot fun to read. Comment #17: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 10:19:02 I need to read The Shipping News! Have a great week! Comment #18: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:14:01 Pussreboots It was excellent. Happy reading. Comment #19: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 10:45:03 We have Little White Rabbit and it is very cute. I'm hoping to read The Book Thief this year at some point. Have a great week! Comment #20: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:15:04 Pussreboots Little White Rabbit is really cute. The Book Thief is unusual but memorable. Comment #21: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 11:05:16 WOW! You are a SUPER reader! The Book Thief - LOVED it. The Goddess Test - liked it. 100 Cupboards - want it. The Postmistress - have it; need to read it. Rick Riordan - I think my Bebe Boy James has every single book he's ever written. Hunger - would not normally be my type of read, but the reviews have been fabulous, so it's on my wishlist. Have a great reading week! Comment #22: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:16:10 Pussreboots Hunger was outside of what I normally read. It had a good premise but it could have been so much better. It's good for what it does but I think Tyranny by Lesley Fairfield does a better job. Comment #23: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 12:09:25 Sounds like a fabulous week, how exciting! Comment #24: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:19:20 Pussreboots Thank you. Happy reading. Comment #25: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 19:18:10 I loved The Book Thief. I hope you enjoy it too. I'll have to check out your review of Grave Sight. I've been meaning to read those. Comment #26: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:20:31 Pussreboots The Book Thief is certainly memorable but I'm not sure I love it. Comment #27: Monday, July, 18, 2011 at 19:23:59 Marce Great for you, my last couple weeks have been great reading also. Comment #28: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 23:22:33 Pussreboots Doesn't it feel good? Comment #29: Tuesday, July, 19, 2011 at 22:26:05 I'm glad you had a really good week. Now to work on the reviews. :-) Have another good week with happy reading. Comment #30: Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 22:23:22 Pussreboots I have reviews written now for The Shipping News and Hunger. I will get them posted as soon as I can. I am still working on the others. © 1997-2012 Sarah Sammis
