Comments for It Looked Like Spilt MilkIt Looked Like Spilt Milk: 07/28/10
The book begins with a simple white blob and an explanation that "Sometimes it looked like spilt milk." From there the white on blue shapes take on other familiar forms: a tree, a duck and so forth. In the end of course the shapes are revealed to be not spilt milk but clouds. It's a delightfully simple but uplifting book. Harriet loves to name the objects when I read it to her. When I'm not reading it to her, she can read it to herself. It's also one of the first books I've overheard her reading it. She's not yet four but I could understand what she was sounding out!
