Book Blogger HopBook Blogger Hop for April 9, 2010: 04/09/10

Since last Friday I've published the following posts:

Beautiful Blogger Honest Scrap

This week I received two awards from Whitney of She is Too Fond of Books, the "Honest Scrap" and "Beautiful Blogger" awards.

So for this week's Book Blogger Hop I will focus on giving out the awards to ten book blogs I started following this month.

For the Honest Scrap Award I need to list ten facts about myself and pass this on to ten other bloggers,

Ten Honest Things (the bookish edition)

  1. The most books I've read in a year is about 500 (2009)
  2. The fewest books I've read in a year is 20 (2001)
  3. I have never managed to finish a Jane Austen book
  4. I prefer zombies to vampires
  5. I prefer thrillers to romance
  6. I prefer Percy Jackson to Harry Potter
  7. Serial killers bore me to tears
  8. I've read the Hobbit more times than I can count
  9. I currently have 37 books checked out from the library
  10. I will be starting an MLIS program in the fall

I am giving the awards to:

  1. Crazy for Books
  2. A Chair, A Fireplace & a Tea Cozy
  3. A Line a Day
  4. A Room Without Books is Empty
  5. A Simple Love of Reading
  6. Adventures of Cecelia Bedelia
  7. Always in a Book
  8. Amused by Books
  9. BookMarc Blogpants
  10. BookNAround

Hi! I'm hopping by. Thanks for paying me a visit and following. I like the clean, easy look of your site. I'm following you now. What is a MLIS program? Does that have anything to do with library/media science?

Thank you for stopping by. I'm glad you like the design and layout of my site. You're correct; the MLIS is the masters program for library and media science.

Fiendishly Bookish

Okay I am so floored! 500 BOOKS you read last year. I thought I read alot...that's amazing. And yes Zombies. Very cool. I just discovered you on the Blog Hop and am now following you. Please send on over some zombie recommendations. I am already reading The New Dead and planning on Zombie Autopsies. Cheers

A cute zombie book I read recently is The Zombie Queen of Newbury High by Amanda Ashby. I don't typically read 500 books a year and I don't know if I'll do it again this year.

500 books read is a lot! WOW!

Congratulations on the awards, Sarah! I enjoyed reading your answers to the meme. Coraline is a great book but I haven't read the graphic novel version.
