"Wayyyy back in the early 80s I was divorcing my first hubby! I chose a "do it yourself" divorce as I was completely broke. Well, I had served all people their papers etc. and our court date came!! Thank goodness I had an old crumpled wedding picture in my purse because my husband didn't even bother to show up and his representative in the court was this old crumply picture. I was heartbroken that he didn't show up, but I also realized that it would have been just another insignificant day to him!! I can't help but laugh about it today!!
