#12: Thirteen Reasons to Join the Beach Blanket Bonanza: 06/27/07
Starting in July I'm hosting my first ever Reading Challenge. I know there are a lot of other ones going on but what's three more books?
- If you're in the northern hemisphere, you can read while on vacation.
- If you're in the southern hemisphere, nothing beats being curled up by the fireplace with a fun book to read during those long nights!
- It's only three books that you want to read anyway.
- Any book will do: the sillier the better. I plan on reading a lot of Pratchett and Cussler.
- If you're a fast reader like me, you can always read more.
- I made a nifty graphic for you to use!
- Reading is fun.
- It will give you something to write about on your blogs or for those "what I did on my summer vacation" essays.
- Harry Potter wants you to!
- I want you to!
- They don't have to be long books: kids books work too. I'll even count manga and graphic novels. (I'm reading Bleach Volume 1)
- Your library is chock full of books waiting to be read.
- You probably have three books hiding under your bed right now waiting to be read.

"I love this idea! Usually I try to alternate between fun reads and something a bit more mentally nutritious. But you've given me permission to just gorge on the fun ones all summer!

"Vacation? what's that?
I'm already in few reading challenge and I guess I could enter only if I include the same books from other challenges.... but that would be cheating LOL
Cheers!

"AND you write reviews of those three books (if they're not best-sellers) and use them for my Summer's Hidden Treasures contest -- and win prizes, too!
Are you buying that?
"

"Ok, ok, you convinced me! I swore I wouldn't join a SEVENTH challenge, but you're right, I can use stuff I'd read anyway!
And you know, the host for the August Bookworms Carnival chose a theme that works PERFECTLY with your challenge! I'll encourage carnival partipants to join your challenge if you encourage challenge participants to join the carnival. ;)

I never took Latin in high school, so dropping these maxims into my conversations will certainly be an interesting challenge! Take Care, XINE"

"Hiya! I joined the 'gang' ;-)
However, how do you get the blog links to appear magically when others link to you? I copied the code (and have subsequently deleted it) and adding a comment didn't seem to make that nice list that you have...
