Comments for Howl's Moving Castle:

Howl's Moving Castle: 03/11/06

This week we rented Howl's Moving Castle (from the book by Diana Wynne Jones) but will clearly have to purchase a copy of it for ourselves soon as it is another wonderful animated film from Studio Ghibli. In fact, the film has inspired some artistic creativity in Sean: he has been drawing pictures of his favorite character, Calcifer.

The Island:

Another good film we rented this week is The Island. It has some stylistic similarities with Logan's Run and "Blake's 7" but the basic plot is more like Coma. The film did a good job of making the near future look plausible while having futuristic devices and vehicles.
