Comments More VegetablesMore Vegetables: 10/22/05Today we went to the penultimate farmers' market for this season at Castro Valley. After next Saturday it won't open again until the first Saturday of May. We loaded up on egg plant, mini pumpkins, zucchinis, and some other vegetables that I can't remember right now. For the pumpkins we plan to do pumpkin pie and perhaps another pumpkin bread. Last night Sean and I made a wonderful bread from his mini pumpkin that had gotten a hole in the skin and wouldn't last very long. I chopped the gourd in half and steamed it until it was soft enough that I could use everything except the seeds and the stem. Sean thought the bread was so good that he's calling it: "Pumpkin Cookie Bread." © 1997-2012 Sarah Sammis
