Comments New Shoes

New Shoes: 10/09/05

On Saturday Sean complained that his shoes were too small. So today he and I went to the mall and got him a new pair. It took a lot of looking and negotiation to find a pair that he liked. He's now up to a size 9 1/2 toddler from 8 1/2. We finally found shoes similar to the ones he has been wearing but he would have been happier if the new pair were identical to the old pair. He was most insistent on not getting shoes with cartoon characters on them as those shoes "are for babies" and he's "a big boy, not a baby."

In Search for a Costume:

We went in search of a Spider-man costume in Sean' size but we couldn't find one. Next week we'll be going to a craft store to get the necessary material to turn a pair of pants he's mostly out grown (in the legs) in to a pair of spidey pants. We can get the mask and gloves at Toys R Us and we did find a Spider-man shirt. So it will take a little more work than first hoped but he can still be the web slinger for Halloween.
