Comments for Shrek 1 1/4

Shrek 1 1/4: 5/29/04

Act 1:

Ian's folks are visiting so we were able to leave Sean with them while we dashed to Castro Valley to put an offer on the townhouse we had seen last week. Chances are good that we may actually have our offer accepted.

Act 2:

We had planned to see Shrek in Redwood City but Ian always gets confused on the 580 and once again we ended up crossing the Bay Bridge rather than the San Mateo. So we decided to try out the new Daly City Century multiplex. We got in and had to take second row seats. The theater was packed!

Then just as the movie was getting going a water main broke which set off the fire alarm. The entire theater had to exacuate. While Ian went to get a refund (which he got), I went back for the car. It took us both about forty minutes. At least everyone involved was civil and things were orderly.

Act 3:

So I still haven't seen most of Shrek 2 but I did get to see the first thirty minutes or so for free. I didn't get to see Puss in Boots and I really wanted to. Wah!
