Post Script: Yesterday I posted my observations about local commercial real estate. After posting, I happened to see the front of the old Joe's Ristorante. It's being turned into a real estate agency! I'm disappointed that our chance at getting another option for lunch (there aren't many right here) is being taken away in the interest of selling more property.

Onto Today's Post:

Yesterday I finished a short story I've been working on (meaning mostly ignoring) since March. I keep a "writing turtle" of my ideas (an Excel spreadsheet) sorted by date and the next on the list centers around the dead letter office (aka the Mail Recovery Center) of which there are three in the United States. One of them is in San Francisco and is the vague inspiration for this piece.
