The Sarah Sammis Gallery

Here are 16 images created this September. Many of these were created for Project Imagination. I had a feeling this month that I had hit a creative slump, but in looking back, I created more artwork this month than in any other month!

Golden Herd
Golden Herd

Bryce 4 and and Model of the Week from 3D Attic
I created this after getting the ferris wheel from 3DAttic's model of the week program. I used Ray Dream to make Creepy's hat. Creepy, of course, came from Don Tatro.

Fluffy
Creepy's cat

Bryce 4 and Poser 4
Ian asked if Creepy had a cat and I said no. So he suggested that I create one for the clown. So I came up with Fluffy who is (of course) a calico. If you want her texture, email me.

Musical Tribute
Musical notes out of a hat

Bryce 4, Ray Dream 5.5, and Photoshop 5.5
I created this image for Project Imagination. The hat is the same one that Creepy is wearing in "Golden Herd." I did some post production in Photoshop.

Music is in the Air
Music in the Air

Bryce 4.1
This multirep was also created for Project Imagination. It is made out of the musical notes used in "Musical Tribute." The sun and stars are one sky and take advantage of the Corel update.

Pyramid Sculpture
Pyramid Sculpture

Bryce 4, Photoshop 5.5
I created this after the cover of the October 2000 issue of Architectural Digest. The background trees were drawn in Photoshop and imported as 2D objects. The foreground trees are from 3DAttic.

Planet X
Planet beyond Pluto

Bryce 4.1 and Photoshop 5.5
I created this dying blue planet for Project Imagination. The planet is two Boolean spheres with a modified iceberg material. Then the planet was duplicated and enlarged and given the cloudy water material for the atmosphere. The sun is a sphere with a volume material and a nearby surface visible radial light. The lens flare was added in Photoshop, as was the blurring to the atmosphere.

Mines around Planet X
Light

Bryce 4,
This image was created for Project Imagination. I created these mines from Boolean operations. I really like the material that I happened upon in the DTE.

Sunset
Forest

Bryce 4 and Poser
Again the image was created for Project Imagination but also serves as a storyboard image for Manifest Destiny.

Bath Time
Simple Things

Bryce, Ray Dream, Poser and Photoshop
This image is inspired by an for American Standard plumbing in Southern Accents Magazine. The rug texture was done in Photoshop. The tub, sink and plant were made in Ray Dream. Lance was created in Poser. Everything else is Bryce. Lance is a character from Manifest Destiny.

After the Round Up
DBs in a box

Bryce 4, Poser, Illustrator and Photoshop
I created this image after an ad for Osborne & Little. I created the wall paper with Illustrator.

Fireplace
Tisa River

Bryce 4, 3DPlants.com, Photoshop and Ray Dream
I created this image based on a photograph in either Southern Accents or Country Living.

Titans
James, Grace and Paul

Bryce 4, Poser 4, 3D Attic and Photoshop
I created this image from a picture in the AAA magazine. I used the distance render for the effect. The bridge is from 3D Attic's model of the week.

Pardon Me
Pardon Me

Bryce and Poser 4
The theme for Project Imagination was "Right of Passage" which got me thinking of "Rite of Spring" which lead to the Disney animation in Fantasia which led to these polite dinosaurs.

Black Widow
Black Widow

KPT 5.0.
I created this spider with Fractal Explorer. Some other work done with Photoshop.

Lagoon
Lagoon

Bryce 4 and Poser
I created this image for the Zygote calendar contest.

Emeryville Sunset
Emeryville Sunset

Bryce 4 and 3D Attic
I created this image after I got the nifty bridge from the model of the week. The sunset reminded me of the Bay Bridge from Emeryville, hence the title. The trees are also from 3D Attic. The boat is mine.
