Look Up It's been a while since I've drawn any architecture. I've been concentrating on people recently. A reflection in a window seemed like a good way to wind down at the end of the day.

Circle Time I was originally inspired by a painting of a pear and some grapes. I already had a pear built and decided to make some grapes in Carrara. Six renders and two days later, I finally had something I liked. The resulting piece reminds me of Sean's teachers trying to round up the kids in the morning for "circle time".

Cucumber Slices I saw a painting of cucumber slices and tomatoes. I wanted to see if I could create something similar. The cucumber ended up being easier to create than I feared it would. I stll need to tweek the materials but they were good enough for this initial render.

Colored Pencils I made a duotoned version of "Complimentary Colors" and then ran it through the rough pastels filter in Photoshop to make the drawing.

Eye on the Forest There is a beautiful blue house across the way from the bookstore in Gold Beach, Oregon. This drawing is taken from my memory of that house and mountain forest behind it.

Blue Box, Red Spheres I saw a wonderful painting of some cherries in a blue fruit box. For three days I've tried to recrete the lovely colors I saw in the painting but I'm not sure of the results.

Avocado Pit Inspired by a painting I saw yesterday. The avocado model is something I created about a year ago.

Aubergine I saw a giant egg plant on Sesame Street today. It made me realize I've never tried creating one in Carrara. So I whomped one up and here's my test render. I will do something more artistic with it next time.

Blue Vases Inspired by a painting I saw on Saturday. The vases are all models I created back in 2005. The flowers are just Bryce primatives. The render took 48 hours to complete.

The Bucket When it was too hot read at night, I decided to spent the time drawing instead. I did this quick six layer Photoshop drawing based on a photograph of a Pie Town dugout I saw on Shorpy.com.
