August 2006 MidnightIt's another glowing light source. I seem to be stuck on drawing or rendering ligh bulbs right now. Created August 1, 2006 Japanese TableSean helped me set this render up and decided on the title for it. We made this picture for the "photorealism" challenge currently running on the Yahoo! Bryce group. All the models are mine from previous projects. Created August 1, 2006 Poppy, Acorns and Kettle I wanted to see how my poppy model would look under a light dome, so I put together this render. I tried to keep most of the materials as simple as possible to put the emphasis on the flower and on the lighting. Created August 2, 2006 Captain Nemo Sean helped me set this render up and decided on the title for it. We made this picture for the "photorealism" challenge currently running on the Yahoo! Bryce group. All the models are mine from previous projects. Created August 4, 2006 Laundry
Window The sleeve of a blue shirt hangs out front of a door and window, matching the blue curtains inside. Created August 7, 2006 A Spectrum of Chairs I have a silly piece in mind that involves a plucked chicken (which I will need to build in Carrara). Tonight I wanted to create something in Bryce but didn't have the time or energy to start on the chicken piece so I went back to two of my favorite models. The chair always looks good in bold colors and it struck me that I could do a color wheel with the chair. I put the bistro table in the center to offset all the bold colors. Likewise, I chose to render against a neutral background with the same lighting set up I've been using in my recent renders to put the empasis on the chairs instead of on either the background or the lighting. Created August 12, 2006 No Banoonoos For You!Take a gorilla from Danger Mouse and an old vaudeville routine ("Yes, we have no bananas...") and a three year old boy. Mix together and the result will be a new family joke: "No banoonoos for you!" Basically now anytime someone is being "bad" one of us will shout "No banoonoos for you!" Created August 14, 2006 Musical Chairs Melee A number of comments on "Spectrum of Chairs" compared the piece to a game of musical chairs. Those comments inspired me to redo the scene showing the aftermath of a roudy game of musical chairs. I don't think there were any winners. Created August 15, 2006 Madam Butterball On my last day of driving home from work before starting "modified work" aka "maternity leave work-from-home" I heard a funny old song on KCEA, "Madam Butterball" by sung Charlie Barnet. The image of a raw chicken wearing a string of beads popped into my head and made me laugh. It's been more than a week now and I still couldn't get the image out of my head. I decided it was time to try to reproduce it in Carrara and Bryce. Created August 19, 2006 Happy BirthdayToday is my son's 4th birthday. It seemed appropriate to do a Bryce birthday cake for him. I also made him a real birthday cake. Created August 20, 2006 Chicken DinnerI wanted to see how the chicken model would look as a cooked chicken so I reposed it and re-rendered it in Bryce. The parsley sprigs are Bryce trees. Created August 23-4, 2006 How're You Feeling, Couch Onion? The subject header to a spam I received today inspired this render. Created August 25, 2006 OpenWhile looking over my previous pages, I came across "Color Blind" and felt inspired to update it. Created August 28-9, 2006 |
