Yellow JYellow J
Here is the tenth in a series. It's a letter J painted on a window. What might the rest of the word spell out?

Afternoon in the ParkAfternoon in the Park
The park in Castro Valley near Sean's school has some beautiful yellow benches. I decided to try to recreate them. I made the bench in Carrara, set up and rendered the image in Bryce and did some touch up work in Photoshop.

Keep Clear (Letter K)Keep Clear
A warning at a beach serves as the eleventh in the alphabet series.

Daffodil WallDaffodil Wall
The daffodils are in bloom and I wanted to see if I could recreate them. I used Carrara's vertex editor for the bloom and I am pleased with the result.

Here is the twelfth in the series.

Still Life with DaffodilsStill Life with Daffodils
I like the bright yellow flowers against the neutral setting.

M is for MustardM is for Mustard
Here is the thirteenth in the series. It's a close up of a mustard package.

Marsden RockMarsden Rock
I was inspired by a photograph I saw online to try my hand again at a Bryce seascape. It has been more than a year since I've tried one. I set up the initial shapes in Bryce and then augmented the results in Photoshop.

One Penny (Letter N)One Penny (Letter N)
Here is the fourteenth in the series. It's a close up of a penny. I'm now halfway through the series.

The Rock PondThe Rock Pond
Here's a "pondscape" to go with the recent seascapel

Ooo! (Letter O)Ooo! (Letter O)
Here is the fifteenth in the series. Does it say "Moo" or "Boo"?

Los Baños, California
I did this simple landscape to test the high tension lines that I downloaded from the 3DCommune. They were built by Spacebones.

Created March 17, 2006

Power StrugglePower Struggle
Here's another render using Spacebones's lovely model. This picture is inspired by a photography I saw recently of some power lines climbing over a hill. The photograph was taken in England but for this piece I've decided to give the setting a central California feel.

P is is for PrimaryP is for Primary
Here is the sixteenth in the series.

Cratered LandscapeCratered Landscape
I modified Planet R2SR to lower the height of the mountains. I'm also missing a couple plug-ins so the planet didn't render as well as it should have.

Spring Time by the FreewaySpring Time by the Freeway
After nearly two months of rain even the freeway drainage ditches are looking beautiful. This render is based on a pretty spot I saw along the 101. The foreground weeds are by 3DCommune member Erasor except for the sunflower which I redid in Photoshop.

Created March 22-4, 2006

CocoaCocoa
I did this render of R2SR at home. The machine at home can render the real time graphics in a reasonable matter so that I'm not rendering blind.

Krabben und SterneKrabben und Sterne
I like to use Illustrator to design custom textiles for use in Bryce. It's been a while (more than a year?) since I've created a new textile. While reading an old copy of Florida Design I saw a wonderful crab pattern chair and was inspired to make this piece which I hope to use in a Bryce render soon.

Captain Kreb's Sitting RoomCaptain Kreb's Sitting Room
The chair on the right hand side is my first test of the crab and star fish textile that I created in Illustrator. Apparently this salty sea dog is either a child or has children from the toys left on the seats.

Q on Scarlet and GoldQ on Scarlet and Gold
Here is the seventeenth in the series.

Flowers for SpringFlowers for Spring
I created the patterns in Illustrator and made the model in Carrara. These cups are inspired by a pair of cups I saw on Ebay.
