Cotton CandyCotton Candy
I've been in a modeling glut so last night I chose to play with Bryce's DTE instead. "Cotton Candy" has three spheres with three different volumetric materials. The camera is placed just off center of the three and there is one light source to brighten things up.

Forest CanopyForest Canopy
I used the same set up as in "Cotton Candy" but applied three newly created volume materials. I also added a few trees as the bloop reminded me of a forest of redwoods.

Fresh FruitFresh Fruit
Last night I saw a wonderful painting of a bowl of pears and felt inspired to create my own pear model in Carrara. I then rendered it in Bryce, reusing many of my other recently created models.

Hay RollsHay Rolls
I don't normally do landscapes but yesterday I was captivated by a few photo blog pictures of these giant hay rolls in Minnesota and I decided to try to capture their beauty in a Bryce render.

California Still LifeCalifornia Still Life
One cannot escape the avocado when living in California. I've been wondering recently how difficult the avocado would be to model in Carrara. It was not quite as tricky as I had feared. I ended up spending more time on setting up the render in Bryce than modeling the different versions in Carrara.

Drawn with Photoshop over the course of a couple of days.

WatermelonsWatermelons
I did this render last night. I built the watermelon and the slices in Carrara but did the materials and final render in Bryce. It's not quite what I had hoped for but still a good start.

Tomatoes on the VineTomatoes on the Vine
The alpha maps for the tomato leaves added a lot of time to this render. The render took a little over 24 hours to render. The tomatoes themselves were modeled in Carrara.

These were freshly picked from the last render.
