May 2005
May saw me back on track though reading and proof reading have cut into my art time.
Tragedy
This Photoshop drawing was inspired by a photograph of a recent performance of Romeo & Juliet.

The
Pepper Shaker
I created the pepper shaker model with Carrara. While Bryce can do depth of field rendering, I faked the results with a distant
mask, alpha mask and some Gausian blurring in Photoshop.

Trade
Winds
The wall cabinet is my latest model. I built it last night in Carrara. I though that the composition needed a little something,
so I added the palm tree. I like how the shadows fall against the otherwise stark wall.

Blue and Orange
The flora pattern is actually part of a curtain model I created in Carrara. This image doesn't really highlight the curtain
very well but I liked the play between the orange flowers and the blue wall.

Las
Sillas de Abuelita
This piece was Inspired by some brightly painted chairs my grandmother used to have. I currently
have her red chair.

Home Office
I didn't set out to make a home office as one can see from the lack of anything remotely officy in this render. But when
I was done with the render I couldn't help but be reminded of a bunch of different home offices I've seen in my life time.
The home office seems to be the place in the house where old or mismatched furniturer is put to pasture.

Farnham
Afternoon
After a month or two of not working on any new Mojo Worlds, I now have the time again to work on them. Farnham is giving me trouble with its over all shape. I'm not too keen on the overly steep and tall mountains.

Bird's Eye View
A week before creating this image, I had a dream that I was either in a fine arts class or I was working for a grpahic design company. I had two images I was working on for a deadline and one of the two was a top down view of a forest clearing. This render is inspiried by the dream image but it doesn't bear much actual resemblance to what I was creating in the dream.

Rolling Hills
Here is my first render from the Challenge 184 planet by alisonb. The moon was a happy accident. My second render focuses
on the moon.

Moonrise on Lavagna
Here is the second render from Planet Lavagna. The planet doesn't get this dark with it's actual settings so I adjusted the contrast in Photoshop to draw attention away from the landscape and to the moon sliver.
