Manhattan

I set the coordinates of the planet to roughly those of Manhattan island in New York and renderd a glorious sunrise that reminds me what the view is like from Manhattan to Long Island

South Pole
Here is another lovely sun in the clouds shot on Hyperglyph. This one is from the south pole.

Red Skies at Night
This is another south pole sunset but on a different planet. I don't recall which planet this is.

Default South Pole
This is the south pole from the original default planet.

North Pole Winter
Here is the north pole of the original default planet.

North Pole Winter
Here is the north pole of the original default planet with the sun up.

London Fog (Hyperglyph)
Here is what the "London" area of Hyperglyph looks like.

River Tang
I found a very orange bit of planet Hyperglyph.

Where Am I?
One of my rare attempts at a "Woody" picture. Woody pictures tend to be humorous renders staring an artist's manequin. Hubert originally popularized these. You can see more at the 3DCommune.

New Zealand Dawn (Hyperglyph)
This is another southern hemisphere render from planet Hyperglyph.

Three Tiered Candy Dish
I created this candy dish for another Carrara challenge at the 3D Commune.

Bay Area (Chisel Peak)
I thought these land forms were a good approximation for what we have here in the Bay Area.

Three Tiered Dish Challenge
Here is a poser render of the candy dish.

Desert Shadows
I don't remember who made this planet but I probably got it from the 3DCommune. This coastline reminds me of California.

Barrel Full of Woodies
I did this piece for the Woody Warz gallery and took inspiration from a barrel of monkeys I had just won during a Halloween costume contest. (I had gone dressed as my calico cat, Caligula).

Desert Sunset
I changed the time settings along the coast to sunset and got this lovely and colorful result.

Land Bridge
Where there is a lot of displacement applied to a material or landform in MojoWorld, land that doesn't appear in the open GL render will suddenly pop up during the camera render. This land bridge is one of those cases.

The View from East Bay
Just imagine a long bridge in the middle of the water and it would look like the southern bit of San Francisco Bay.

North Beach
I took a closer look at one of the land formations near the water of the "East Bay" render.

North Beach Rocks
Here is an even closer look at that rock formation. I love how the waves become defined at this level.

My First Mojo World
Here is my first successful render of my very first planet.

Azure Beaches
My second render of my first planet which I heavily modified in Photoshop. It was a fairly crappy render! I had a lot to learn.

Winter Lake
Here's a night time render of my first planet. I was still having trouble with the sky and the water.

Reflections on Too Much Water
I think I gave up on my first planet and started this one which I later called "Aguamas."

Misty Morning
Here is a morning view of Aguamas. I was trying again with adding clouds.

A Bit of Land
I had found some land on Aguamas.

Milky Way
I discovered that clouds set much larger than the planet can work as nebulae.

Ice Flows from Space
I love the colors on this render from Build III.
