July 2001:
These are my creations for the month of June, 2001.
Red Skies at Night
It's not a very good piece but I like the colors of the sky.
.
Trade Winds
I built this up from a set of custom shapes I had created in Photoshop. I like the clean
style I can achieve by using the custom shape method.
Screen Shapes
These are custom shapes and are primary colors in the additive color scheme. I used layer
blending in Photosohp to get the secondary and tertiary colors. This was more a test of Photoshop's
programming than a work of art.
Interior Blue
Everything in this picture was created in Bryce 5 for the beta testing. The bed was the toughest
part, especially the spread which is made of hundreds of metaballs. I learned in the process
that metaballs render a few points beyond where their wireframes end. I guess this is part
of how their "stickiness" work but it makes working with them difficult when non metaball
objects are involved.
Paranoia
This is the shadow of my metaball alien cast upon a wall.
Forgotten
Toy
I built and rendered this biplane toy in Ray Dream (Carrara).
Old
Toy Plane 2
Here is the same plane rendered in Bryce. I think I prefer the Carrara render.
Interstellar
I did this rough model / render of the a slowship that would later serve as a castle just
to see what it would look like in its original use. I blurred the flames a little in Photoshop.
 The
Light House at New Delphi
The light house model was built by David Hawke. This image remains one of my favorite Bryce
pieces that I've worked on even though there are some problems with the tree placement.
Pacheco Pass
I wanted to capture what I had seen during numerous trips over the 152 from Gilroy
to Los Baños.
Ahead
Stop
I drew this in Photoshop.
The
Gate
This cheesy picture shows another early attempt at styles and custom shapes in Photoshop.
Ego
Trip
I used my signature to further test my skills in Photoshop styles and custom shapes.
